Antonia Martinez: Spanish (email@example.com)
HOLA!! First of all I’m so grateful to be surrounded by all the kids and teachers that make Trent InternationalE School a peaceful and fun place to learn and educate ourselves every day. Yes, I said to educate ourselves because even though that I’m the Spanish Teacher I truly believe that everyday is an opportunity to learn something new, especially when you work with children and teenagers.
I’m a native Honduran. I was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, the second largest city in Honduras. I won a Scholarship and came to study in Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.. Afterwards I returned to Honduras and worked with a nonprofit organization as an Investment Officer, where I had the opportunity to meet people from all around the world and also had the opportunity to travel to several countries. Being a foreign student in this country and the job I had back in Honduras I have learned a lot about other countries and also realized that I love meeting different people as well as share, teach and learn along with them other languages and cultures.
I’m sure that in someway I’m being part of the education of your child’s continued success in schooling, in learning, and in soaring to new heights and help them to become potential bilingual Doctors, Lawyers, Administrators and maybe even our future President.

My years at the gallery have given me a unique set of skills to help your children learn how to put together art shows, and what kind of careers are available to artistic people as well as how to create a portfolio for college review. I believe that every student can draw and be creative. Creativity helps the student to think outside of the box, learn to problem solve, and increase their thinking power in all subjects. Learning art teaches your child about cultural diversity, human history, and self-expression. I like to get to know my students and on what criteria he/she is talented. I teach the skills, techniques, and daily practices necessary to strengthen their creative minds.

As an educator, it is important to connect with each student and equip them with the tools they need, to go to the next level. I pride myself on empowering children to have fun with learning, while encouraging them to express themselves. I love learning, and I love learning from my students! As adults, children learn from us, but we can also learn from them, which is an extraordinary privilege. A wise person once said, “Love yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle!”. As I teach my students the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, I also want to embed in them the importance of accepting and loving themselves. This school year, I look forward to welcoming all the returning students, as well as the new students! I am pleased to coach sports once again, and bring Trent to life through school spirit!
